QUALIFICATIONS: 1. MinimumhighschooldiplomaorGEDpreferred. 2. CertifiedasaCNAinthestateofIllinois/Indianaorabletobecertifiedwithin120days. 3. CertifiedinCPR. 4. Abilitytoexpressorexchangespokenand/orwrittenideasinEnglishwithpatient/residents,co-workers,families,andthepublic. 5. Abilitytolearnandusecurrenttechnology. 6. One-yearexperienceinlong-termcarepreferred. 7. Knowledgeofrestorativenursingassistantfunctionsormustcompleterestorativecoursewithinoneyearofhire. PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: 1. Frequentlyandsafelyliftsandtransferspatients/residentsweighinganaverageof150pounds,withdesignatedliftingequipmentand/orsafe lifting techniques. 2. Transportspatients/residentsinwheelchairsandotherdevicestovariousareasintheministry. 3. Frequentlytwists,stoops,bends,crouches,kneels,andreachesaboveorbelowshoulderheight. 4. Abilitytoworkafullshiftonone'sfeet. 5. Frequentlyliftsandcarriesequipmentandsuppliesweighing25pounds. 6. Mustbeabletoexpressorexchangespokenand/orwrittenideasinEnglishwithpatient/residents,co-workers,families,andthepublic. REPORTSTO: RestorativeNurse/NursingAdministration ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESINCLUDETHEFOLLOWING: 1. Providesinput totheRestorativeNurseforthedevelopmentoftherestorative careprogram. 2. AssistswithImplementationofnursingrestorativeinterventionsasdirectedbyrestorativenurseincludingbutnotlimitedtoambulation,rangeofmotion(ROM), activitiesofdailyliving(AOL),assistivefeedingdevices,splints,handcones/contracturecare,andbladderretraining. 3. Participatesincareplanconferencesasdirected. 4. Completesrestorativedocumentation relatedtoindividualresident'sparticipation,progress,tolerance,etc. 5. Workswithappropriatedepartmentstoensureassistivedevicesareconsistently availableandutilizedonassignedpatients/residents. 6. Trainsandmonitorsotherministrystaffonuseofpatient/residentspecificassistivedevicesandtransferequipment. 7. Assists restorativenurseinprovidingstaffeducationandcompetencies relatedtorestorativecare. 8. Reportsobservationsandotherpertinentinformationrelatedtocareofpatients/residentstoappropriatestaff. 9. PerformsotherdutiesasassignedbytheRestorativeNurse,ADONorDON. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Demonstratecriticalthinkingskills,includingtheabilitytosynthesizeinformationandmakerole-appropriate decisions. 2. Requiresregularpredictableattendanceandpunctuality. 3. AdherestoFederalandStateregulationsgoverninglong-termcare. 4. Maintainsaneat,well-groomed appearanceandadherestothedresscodeoftheposition. 5. Mustbeknowledgeableofministryfireandsafetyprocedures. 6.
