$20/hour 6-10 hour shifts between 6:00am and 5:00pm

Job Description

Hej! We’re Frø, America’s first Danish rye bread brand… and we’re growing! We launched last November as a commercial Danish rye bread operation and have quickly expanded to bring more of our favorite Scandinavian treats to New York & beyond. We focus on doing a few things exceptionally well, specializing in Danish baked goods, especially traditional Danish rye bread.

During the week we bake and deliver to retail and wholesale partners. On weekends, you'll find Frø at farmers markets across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Hamptons, sharing our bread, pastries, and story with local customers.

We're looking for a Farmers Market Operations Manager to lead the execution of our weekend market program. You'll be responsible for transporting and setting up our market booths, leading a small team throughout the day, ensuring smooth operations, and resetting everything back at the bakehouse for the next markets. It is a crucial role that combines operations, customer service, and brand representation.

People who thrive in this position will play an important role in Frø's growth and may have opportunities to join the team in a permanent / full time capacity.

What you’ll do:

• Load, deliver, and unload all market equipment, products, and supplies between the bakehouse and market locations in a timely manner
• Manage market equipment, signage, tents, tables, and inventory
• Prepare and reset market kits for upcoming market days
• Support a small farmers market team throughout each shift, delegating setup, service, and breakdown tasks effectively
• Keep the team on schedule and communicate priorities throughout the day
• Problem-solve quickly when unexpected issues arise
• Coordinate clearly with all bakery and FOH team members before and after each market to ensure smooth operations
• Serve as a welcoming ambassador for Frø providing warm, knowledgeable customer service while helping customers discover our products

Ideal candidates will have:

• Total weekend availability Now through November
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving vehicles up to the size of a Sprinter van in New York City
• Excellent time management and organizational skills (timing is everything on market mornings!!)
• Experience delegating/communicating tasks and coordinating with a small team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently meet early setup times
• Comfortable lifting 50 lbs and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Calm under pressure and flexible, able to adapt to changing circumstances
• Friendly, outgoing, and confident interacting with customers throughout the day
• Previous experience in event operations, farmers markets, catering, hospitality, retail management, or logistics is a strong plus.
