Clinical Secretary - Float Department - Part Time

Job Summary
The Clinical Secretary manages all clerical duties necessary for the operation and management of the unit. He/she must be able to identify age specific needs and provide appropriate care.
Job Specification
Minimum Education Required: A high school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Experience Required: Successful completion of medical terminology course. Business curriculum and knowledge of computers; word and spreadsheets preferred.
Licensure/Certification Required: Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).
Skills required (if applicable): A commitment to Service Excellence and Performance Improvement. Must possess excellent writing skills with legible penmanship. Interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate to patients, families and members of the healthcare team. Must possess well developed organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Shifts: Varies, mainly evening
