Wet Utilities Superintendent

DNT Construction LLC is a trusted civil contractor with offices in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Our services span from site investigation and value engineering to full‑scale excavation and utility installation. We are currently seeking an experienced, safety‑driven Superintendent to lead wet utility crews on active job sites, based out of our Round Rock Headquarters. Our project sites go as far up to Waco and down to San Marcos. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring project safety and quality standards, coordinating daily work, and maintaining production schedules. What You Will Do Crew Supervision & Safety Lead and supervise a wet utilities pipe crew on underground utility installations Enforce all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards Conduct daily safety briefings (Toolbox Talks) and create Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) Identify and implement proper trench protection methods and ensure hoisting equipment is in good working condition Serve as a Competent Person on site, ensuring safe excavation and confined space practices Daily Operations Management Coordinate and plan daily tasks including material handling and equipment usage Order materials as needed and verify deliveries against tickets Schedule staking, inspections, and testing lab services as required Collaborate with project managers to align daily work with broader project goals Progress Monitoring & Reporting Monitor job progress and ensure work is completed on time and to quality standards Enter daily time, quantities, and production reports using an iPad or mobile device Track project timelines and provide regular updates to the project manager Identify and report potential field issues that may affect progress or quality Plans and Specifications Read, understand, and follow project plans and specifications Ensure field work aligns with design intent and tolerances Communicate plan details clearly to crew members and subcontractors What We Are Looking For 3-5 years of experience in wet utilities or heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role Strong knowledge of underground utility installation (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain) OSHA Competent Person certified or willing to obtain Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications Experience with scheduling, material tracking, and basic construction reporting technology (iPad/tablets) Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Must pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check Must have a valid driver’s license #J-18808-Ljbffr DNT Construction LLC
