Project Manager - Water Design Build

By working with team members, you will lead project teams on water‑related projects across the region. You will engage with clients and partners, promote growth, and support business development by pursuing and winning projects. Responsible for overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on a single or multiple project assignments Implement the Design‑Build process, including experience with alternatives, cost estimating, risk quantification, supply‑chain selection, project budgets, schedules, and all other commercial aspects of project management (alternatives, cost estimating, selection, project budgets & schedules, quality control, commercial, procurement, commissioning, startup, project closeout, etc.) Manage project development from conception through completion (both large and small) in accordance with program objectives Manage all budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects Manage the review and approval process for consultant invoices and contractor pay applications and change orders and coordinate with Control Manager for proper posting in the reporting program Attend assigned meetings to cover weekly job progress, issue meeting minutes during design Resolve complex construction‑related issues, disputes, and disagreements Review status and monitor variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting Excellent communication skills, as this position is client‑facing Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline or 10+ years of experience in the same field in lieu of this degree Five or more years of experience in Design‑Build of water, wastewater, water resources and/or conveyance‑type work Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect license/certification preferred Willingness to travel Physical and environmental demands: standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, ability to climb, stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Work may be indoor, outdoor, involve loud noise, active machinery with high‑pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, defined confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals typical of the water and wastewater design‑build industry. Onsite employees are expected to attend a Jacobs Workplace on a full‑time basis, as required by the nature of their role. Certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonuses, and stock. The base salary range for this position is $124,500.00 to $194,450.00. Individual pay is determined within this range by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
