About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Med-Surg (Night Shift)

Austin, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Telemetry/Med-Surg unit with expected patient ratios of 1:6, and potentially 1:5
• Monitor patients using GE Telemetry Monitoring and Welch Allyn Vital Signs equipment
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using MediTech EMR
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including Wound Vac, CPM Machines, External Fixation, and Bracing
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and unit clerks as part of a structured night shift team
• No on-call requirements beyond scheduled shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry and/or Med-Surg nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Experience in an Ortho/Trauma setting
• Outgoing, team-oriented personality that thrives in a collaborative unit culture
