DEADLINE FOR APPLYING: Monday, June 22, 2026, or until filled At 12:00 NOON Job Goal: Provide assistance to teachers in specified subject areas. Reports to: School Level Principal(s) and Director of Institution Performance Responsibilities Assists teachers in developing strategies for effective student learning with an emphasis on core content area standards. Works with students as needed. Gathers student data through observation, dialogue, testing tools, etc., to design alternative strategies to meet diagnosed student needs. Facilitates the use of data for increased student achievement. Implements ways to facilitate parental involvement and parent education in order to increase student learning. Assists teachers in the implementation of curriculum integration with special emphasis on communication skills. Models effective strategies for teaching content area skills and their application. Supports teachers in the implementation of the Common Core State Standards and district initiatives in all curricular areas. Serves as the official coaching liaison between school and district. Serves as "Lead Learner" in Professional Learning Communities. Serves as a consultant in the selection of instructional materials, supplies and equipment. Involved with the implementation and monitoring of the School's Improvement Plan. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Meets Florida teacher certification requirements for educational subject area(s) to be coached. Bachelors degree, Masters preferred. Five (5) years of successful teaching experience. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to provide professional development. Effective/ Highly Effective VAM in the area in which coaching will take place. If no VAM is available, historical teacher proficiency and growth may be considered. Previous academic coaching experience desired.
