Technical Staff Editor

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Technical Staff Editor will edit research proposals and technical documents for clarity and structure while developing editorial standards and workflows within the research organization. Key responsibilities Edit research proposals, technical white papers, and internal reports for clarity and audience engagement while preserving technical accuracy Develop and maintain editorial standards, including style guidelines and documentation practices for the research organization Lead writing clinics and coach research staff to enhance their writing effectiveness over time Required qualifications Significant editing experience with technical or scientific material Demonstrated ability to edit with a clear sense of purpose and audience Exceptional command of grammar, style, structure, and argumentation Experience developing or managing style guides and editorial standards Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with comfort working with quantitative subject matter
