Construction Superintendent

Central/Eastern Iowa

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects throughout Central and Eastern Iowa. This leadership role is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• $80,000 - $95,000 annual salary (based on experience)

• Lead and oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
• Coordinate and manage field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
• Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and clients
• Proactively identify and resolve job site issues to minimize delays
• Monitor quality control and workmanship throughout all phases of construction
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scheduling
• Conduct site meetings and maintain clear communication between all parties involved

Required:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent , or
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Construction Foreman
• Proven leadership experience managing construction crews and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Commercial and/or industrial construction experience
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience managing multiple projects and crews simultaneously

This is a Permanent position based out of Waterloo, IA.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
