Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

About the Hospital Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122‑bed general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut. It serves the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut and is a vital regional health care resource. ICU Overview The ICU is a 10‑bed unit caring for complex medical and surgical patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, drug and alcohol withdrawal, liver and kidney injury/failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, and post‑operative complications. Care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation and non‑invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV). Continuous monitoring of blood pressure via arterial lines, cardiac output, capnography, and oximetry. Collaborate with Intensivists, Clinical Leaders, RNs, and multi‑skilled techs to provide high‑quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities Provide bedside care and clinical management to ICU patients. Operate and monitor ventilatory and hemodynamic support systems. Continuously assess patient vital signs and respond to changes. Collaborate with the critical care team to plan and implement patient care plans. Qualifications Active Connecticut RN license required prior to start date. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum one year of Acute Care RN experience required.
