Job Title: Commercial Glazier Job Description
This role focuses on the fabrication and installation of a wide range of commercial glazing systems, including storefronts, curtain walls, aluminum-framed entrances, and specialty glass features. The position is hands-on and field-based, working primarily on new commercial and industrial construction sites to deliver high-quality, precise glass and glazing installations.
Responsibilities- Fabricate and install commercial storefront systems, curtain walls, and aluminum-framed entrances according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Install glass and a variety of glazing materials with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality workmanship.
- Install specialty glass features such as glazed canopies, skylights, glass guardrails, mirrors, and glass markerboards.
- Install hardware, fasteners, and other materials associated with storefronts, curtain walls, entrances, and specialty glass systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to plan and execute installations correctly.
- Measure openings and materials accurately using tape measures and other hand tools to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for framing, cutting, fastening, and finishing tasks.
- Perform finish carpentry and framing work related to window, door, and glass system installation as needed.
- Work on commercial buildings and new construction sites, installing commercial and industrial windows and related glazing systems.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on site to coordinate work and meet project timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all site safety rules and procedures.
- Inspect completed installations for quality, functionality, and compliance with project requirements, making adjustments as necessary.
- 23 years of commercial glazing experience, including hands-on installation of glass and glazing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately.
- Prior experience in the construction field, particularly on commercial projects.
- Experience installing glass doors, aluminum storefronts, and windows.
- Carpentry and framing experience related to window and door installation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to use a tape measure and perform precise measurements and basic calculations.
- Comfort working on new construction sites, including commercial and industrial buildings.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, from hot and humid to cold and wet.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finish carpentry and glazing work.
- Experience in commercial construction environments and familiarity with construction site practices.
- Background in cabinetry or finish carpentry, contributing to precise and clean installations.
- Strong installation skills across windows, doors, and related hardware.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and project specifications.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation challenges on site.
- Reliability and initiative, with a track record of taking ownership of tasks and learning new techniques.
- Comfort working on multiple projects, with the ability to adapt to different site conditions and timelines.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Zeeland, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $62400.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
401k match with employee match after 1 year up to 4%, 50% medical paid - 0 out of pocket for medical other than Medication or Urgent care
