Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Pediatric Step Down RN located on the first floor of a Baltimore campus healthcare facility. This role involves providing care for pediatric and adolescent patients with various conditions, including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, burns, feeding disorders, and post-orthopedic surgical patients requiring extensive therapies. The position requires adaptability to a mixed unit environment focused on rehabilitation rather than progressive care. Job Details Required Qualifications: MD or Compact State License. BLS certification. At least 2 years of relevant RN experience with pediatric step-down, ventilator management, trach care, and respiratory or cardiac patient experience. Schedule: Days and nights rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week. Patient Care: Care for pediatric and adolescent patients with complex diagnoses including TBI, spinal cord injury, GSW, MVA, burns, feeding disorders, failure to thrive, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, and post-orthopedic surgery needing intensive PT/OT/ST. Certifications: BLS, CPI. Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope, and also to the Largo campus if necessary, through 10/8/26. No on-call required.
