JSG is recruiting an Associate Investigator for a client in Union Beach NJ
This exciting opportunity involves conducting sophisticated experiments, analyzing complex data, and contributing to innovative solutions that drive industry progress

What You'll Do:
As an Associate Investigator, you will execute intricate technical work under minimal guidance, focusing on the isolation and concentration of flavor compounds from food and beverage products. Your responsibilities include performing solvent extractions, distillations, and headspace collections, along with interpreting chromatographic data (GC-MS, HPLC, LC-MS). You'll maintain detailed records, ensure laboratory equipment is properly managed, and contribute to the development of new methodologies and work plans, supporting our commitment to scientific excellence.
Required Skills:

• BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field; MS preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a wet chemistry laboratory
• Familiarity with analytical separation techniques and instrumentation
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret chromatographic data
• Experience with solvent extractions, distillations, and headspace sampling methods

Nice to Have Skills:

• Interest or experience in the flavor and fragrance industry
• Adaptability to new methodologies and technical processes
• Ability to work independently and contribute to team projects

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline
• 1-2 years working in a laboratory setting focused on flavor or chemical research
