The Mechanical Foreman (Heavy Civil) leads a small team of up to 10 workers in the execution of heavy civil construction projects such as industrial facilities, pump stations, and public utilities. This role requires hands-on project supervision, ensuring team coordination, maintaining safety compliance, and delivering high-quality workmanship. The foreman will report directly to the Project Manager and Site Superintendent while maintaining communication with clients, overseeing daily operations without the need for travel. Travel around the Delaware Valley working on projects. Hours 6am to 3pm (varies; m/f)
This is a WORKING FOREMAN role!
Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical work on heavy civil construction projects
- Coordinate daily activities of a team of up to 10 workers
- Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure project standards are met
- Identify and resolve problems promptly to maintain workflow
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and clients
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Heavy equipment operation skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading
- Familiarity with construction safety standards
- Strong team leadership abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Problem-solving and quality assurance expertise
