Position Overview

WCS is partnering with a leading specialty healthcare organization in New York City to identify an experienced Radiology RN for an outpatient procedural setting. This role involves providing nursing support for radiology patients, including IV placement, patient assessment, monitoring, and coordination of care throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent IV proficiency, and experience working in a fast-paced procedural environment.

 

Schedule

• Monday through Saturday availability required
• Flexible 10-hour shifts
• Shift hours scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM
• Schedule determined based on departmental needs

 

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Previous Radiology, Procedural, Ambulatory, or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
• Strong IV insertion and venous access skills required
• Excellent patient assessment and monitoring abilities
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient setting
• Strong communication and patient education skills

 

Key Responsibilities

• Start and manage peripheral IV lines
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after radiology procedures
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and contrast agents as ordered
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and safety protocols
• Provide patient education and procedural instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
