Registered Dietitian (RD) or NutritionistDaVita is looking for a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Nutritionist to help educate our dialysis patients and their families based out of our Mid Ohio Dialysis in Ontario, Ohio and also floating to our Galion and Kenton, Ohio clinics.We are offering a Retention Bonus!Here is what we are looking for in a Registered Dietitian:Registered Dietitian license required, 1 year of clinic experience preferredWill also consider newly licensed dietitian with less than 1 year experience. Role requires a licensed RD within DaVita to provide oversight support monthly.In this role, the dietitian will travel between clinics from Mid Ohio Dialysis in Ontario, Ohio to Galion and Kenton, Ohio.This is a Monday - Friday position, hours and clinic visit determined by patient needs.Full Time Schedule - 40 hours per weekMust be a licensed Dietitian in the state you are applyingBachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or similar area requiredAbility to work flexible schedules, possibly for multiple facilities and travel when neededComfortable with a large case load of patients (approx. 100 - 125 between the different locations)After hire and training, successful completion of the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80% requiredIntermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required as well as functional proficiency with DaVita specific applications within 60 daysA typical day for a dietitian would involve reviewing monthly lab work with patients and educating them on dietary and medication changes to improve their outcomes.The dietitian also completes nutrition assessments for patients and may also attend patient rounds with their nephrologist.Use your natural gift of education and persuasion to help patients understand that what they eat directly affects their lab levels.
