Lunchroom Aide Belmont Elementary School 2026-2027 School Year

Lunchroom Aide Shift Hours: 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Purpose: This position provides assistance and supervision for children during lunch to ensure a safe and positive environment. Starting Salary: $15.60/hour Anticipated Start Date: August 19th, 2026 Requirements: All employees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test. All employees are required to submit a pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.

• Previous work in a school setting, preferred

Qualifications

• Completion of clear, criminal background check
• Current Certificate of Health, including negative TB test on file in the District office

Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing, occasional stooping, bending, and reaching. Must work in noisy and crowded environments.

Conditions

• Supervise students at lunch and maintains a positive atmosphere that aligns with the rules present within the building

Functions

• Circulate through the cafeteria during mealtime and assists students as needed
• Assist in lunchroom clean-up on an as-needed basis between lunch periods/groups of students
• Report safety, sanitary, and other hazards immediately to front office staff
• Maintain confidentiality and professionally represents the school and district in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students
• Attend work regularly and is punctual
• Support the mission and vision of USD 232
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
