Dog Groomer

About the Role:

Wilderness Trace Veterinary Clinic in Junction City, KY is looking for a talented and passionate Dog Groomer to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to do what you love in a supportive, animal-focused environment where pets and their well-being always come first.

Responsibilities:

Perform full-service dog grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, and haircuts

Trim nails, clean ears, and perform other standard grooming services

Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments

Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming area

Communicate with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and coat care recommendations

Coordinate with veterinary staff to flag any skin, coat, or health concerns observed during grooming

Requirements:

Prior professional dog grooming experience preferred

Proficiency in breed-specific cuts and grooming styles

Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs of all sizes and temperaments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to animal safety and comfort

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, clinic environment
