Registered Nurse (RN)

General Information

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Critical Care Unit. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Unit Specifics

Number of Beds: 20
Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CCU patients
Unit Staffing Description: Unit secretary on days & nights, occasional tech support
Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennet ventilators
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours/week, 3 weekend shifts/4 weeks
Floating Policy: Contract labor floats before core staff
Patient Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of critical care experience

Qualifications

Requested Skill Set:

1 year of critical care experience
Meditech experience
ACLS certification
NIH certification

Advanced Skills Needed:

Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular & vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients

Procedures Performed on Unit:

Bedside central line placement
Massive transfusion protocol

Certifications Required: ACLS

Dress Code

Required uniform: Black scrubs
