PSA Compliance Manager Job Summary

The Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) Compliance Manager is responsible for managing implementation and compliance with the Interim Final Rule to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual abuse and sexual harassment involving child refugees. Responsible for compliance with Office of Refugees Resettlement (ORR) policy on sexual abuse and harassment and will lead the investigation of any reports regarding sexual abuse and harassment for the organization. 

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for managing implementation and compliance with the Interim Final Rule to prevent, detect, and respond to sexual abuse and sexual harassment involving child refugees. 
2. Responsible for creating, implementing and updating policies for preventing, detecting, and responding to sexual abuse and harassment.
3. Responsible for developing and delivering training for staff (every 6 months) and youth on PSA policies and reporting.
4. Responsible for assisting Program Management in the investigation of SA/SIR where sexual abuse or sexual harassment has been reported.
5. Responsible for fostering a climate of zero tolerance for abuse and ensuring a safe and supported environment for all youth in care.
6. Responsible for maintaining PSA CAR and all corrective action plans to include all supportive documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education/Work Experience:

Level: Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or social service fields. 

1. 3 years of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues.

Equivalent Education/ Work Experience  

Bachelor's degree in business administration or management and at least 2 year of experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, or quality assurance or compliance.

Foreign Language Requirement:

Fluency in Spanish is preferred.

Working Conditions/Physical Effort

Work is performed mostly in an office setting.  Some overnight travel; public speaking, evening and weekend work are requirements of the position.  Regular computer work is also required.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; finger, handle, or feel objects, or control; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
