Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Operating Room CST Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Assistant required. Charge experience preferred: 2 years. Patient ratio experience required. License: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required. Virginia licenses required prior to submission or provide proof of compact license. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS and PALS courses must be through the American Heart Association. Must-Have: Experience scrubbing cardiothoracic cases is required. EPIC experience is mandatory. Description: The position requires a qualified Certified Surgical First Assistant. The facility features 15 operating rooms in a Level II trauma environment. Specialties include Neuro, General/Trauma, Robotics, Orthopedics, ENT, Vascular, GYN, GI, and Plastics. Candidates must have experience in various surgical procedures. Floating may be required based on the needs of the facility. All units require specialized experience within the last year. Candidates must provide one supervisory reference upon submission. All certifications and licenses must be attached at the time of submission.
