The Volleyball season is August 2026 - October 2026. TCA’s Athletic Department utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life-giving biblical truths to each student‑athlete.As a coach at TCA you will not only help student athletes improve their athletic ability, you will remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col. 3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ. General Responsibilities Attend volleyball practices during off-season and the regular season Plan and organize practices coordinating with Assistant Varsity Coach Plan warm-up, conditioning, volleyball drills for practice Document and plan weekly biblical character lessons with Team Chaplain Attend all JV volleyball games (home and close away) Assist with ordering for all JV volleyball uniforms Responsible for volleyball tryouts for JV Organize and run parent meetings Communicate with parents on a weekly basis (scheduling, updates etc.) Ability to motivate and improve performance of athletes Demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with students and colleagues Qualifications A strong commitment to the positive development of the volleyball program at TCA Ability to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to Christ Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working with JV athletes in volleyball Knowledge of the sport of volleyball Ability to build a good rapport with student and parents Have a willing heart for service (Ephesians 6:7) Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values Physical,Mental and Environmental Requirements Ability to bend, stoop, squat, jump and run Normal physical demands of coaching Nighthours required Position: Junior Varsity Volleyball Head Coach Supervisor: Head Volleyball Coach Start Date: August 2026 Hours: Seasonal The intent of this posting is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees of this job and shall not be construed as a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
