Registered Nurse
Broward Children's Center (BCC) is dedicated to transforming lives by providing specialized care to children and young adults who are medically fragile and developmentally disabled. Our comprehensive services range from 24/7 skilled nursing at our pediatric care facility to developmental education programs, therapeutic support, and family-centered services like respite care, social services, and in-home health support.
With unique programs including ABA therapy, developmental preschools, K-12, Home Health and PPEC outpatient care, BCC ensures each individual receives tailored support to thrive. With your support, Broward Children's Center (BCC) provides quality programs to infants, children, and young adults who are developmentally disabled and/or medically fragile through a continuum of services designed to meet the needs of children and their families.
Demonstrate proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, providing prescribed medical treatment to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons in such settings as private homes, or schools.
Nursing diploma from two or four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preference given to those with Home Health Agency experience, pediatric programs, or coordinating services for special needs children.
Communicate, manage new and existing knowledge, support and supervise LPN staff, exercise decision-making skills.
Provides care for assigned home health patients including, but not limited to:
- Nursing assessment: initial head to toe, vital signs and ongoing monitoring of patients.
- Activities of daily living: bathing, toileting, diapering, lifting, transferring,
- Nutritional support: feedings by mouth, gastrostomy tube, naso-gastric tube, maintenance of aspiration precautions,
- Respiratory treatments: administration of aerosolized nebulizer treatment, chest physiotherapy, oral/nasal/tracheal suctioning, pulse oximetry, oxygen therapy, ventilator management, cleaning and maintenance of respiratory supplies,
- Safety measures: maintenance of universal, fall and seizure precautions,
- Growth and development enhancement: provide client with verbal, visual and tactile stimulation, range of motion exercises, splint or physical therapies,
- Administration of medication,
- Documentation of all activities and assessment findings.
- Assure that progress reports are made to the office personnel and/or physician for patients under medical care when there are changes in the patient's condition or there are deviations from the Plan of Care.
- Retain overall responsibility for the care given to each patient.

- Employee Daycare (for ages 1 year through 5 years old), available at $150 per week, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
- Broward County Non-School Days: We offer our employees childcare when Broward County has non-school days (winter break, spring break, thanksgiving break), with the exception of major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas day, etc.).
