Medical Records Coder — Inpatient & Outpatient, Telework

Veterans Health Administration

Veterans Health Administration, within the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Medical Records Technician (Coder-Outpatient and Inpatient) in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System. This role codes inpatient and outpatient encounters using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS, and may educate staff on coding and documentation.

The position requires one year of creditable experience for GS-7 or experience for GS-8, with strong attention to coding guidelines and patient health record integrity.
