At Hotel Shattuck Plaza, we believe every guest interaction matters. Located in downtown Berkeley, our historic hotel offers opportunities to connect with travelers and create memorable guest experiences.

We are looking for a friendly, dedicated Bellperson / Valet to join our team. If you enjoy meeting people, helping others, and making guests feel welcome, we'd love to meet you.

Help create a comfortable and enjoyable stay by providing bellperson, valet, and concierge services from arrival to departure.

• Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

• Assist guests during arrival and departure, creating positive first and last impressions.

• Listen to guest concerns, solve problems, and answer questions.

• Build connections with guests and personalize their experience whenever possible.

• Handle guest vehicles with care and respect.

• Assist with taxi requests and direct traffic flow in front of the hotel.

• Safely transport guest luggage to and from assigned destinations.

• Protect guests' belongings, issue proper claim checks for stored bags, and keep stored belongings in locked areas.

• Assist with restaurant and tour reservations, transportation arrangements, and local recommendations.

• Provide information about hotel services and attractions throughout Berkeley and the surrounding area.

• Deliver messages, packages, faxes, hotel items, and guest belongings as requested.

• Stay informed about hotel amenities, services, and daily operations.

• Work with Front Office and other departments to coordinate guest requests.

• Maintain cleanliness and order in guest service areas.

We're looking for someone who brings a welcoming attitude, care for guests and their belongings, and a commitment to helpful service.

• Previous bellperson, customer service, and/or hospitality experience preferred.

• Valid California driver's license is required.

• Work in the heart of downtown Berkeley.

• Meet travelers from around the world.
