With beautiful beaches, the St. Johns River, vibrant neighborhoods, professional and collegiate sports, and abundant outdoor recreation, Northeast Florida offers something for everyone.The area also provides easy access to popular destinations including Savannah, Charleston, Tampa, and Orlando, making weekend getaways convenient and enjoyable.Perks & BenefitsBenefits for this role may include health insurance including medical, dental, and vision, retirement benefits, paid time off including sick leave and vacation, short term and long term disability, and life insurance.• Competitive compensation• Sign on or relocation assistance• Health, dental, and vision insurance• CE allowance and professional development support• Paid time off• Retirement savings options• Employee assistance programs• No ER responsibilities• No on call requirements• Consistent, highly skilled nursing team• Supportive and collaborative work environment• Strong focus on work life balance• Access to established referral relationships with nearby specialistsIn Your Day To Day• Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with internal medicine, surgery, neurology, and other specialty teams.• Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans for patients with a variety of oncologic conditions.• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and ensure safe, evidence based treatment practices.• Perform and/or order advanced diagnostics to support accurate diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring.• Coordinate patient care and referrals with nearby surgeons, neurologists, and other specialty providers when additional expertise is needed.• Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, medication and refill questions, and ongoing case coordination.• Mentor technicians and support staff as part of daily oncology case management.• Work with a consistent, experienced nursing team to provide efficient and exceptional patient care.• Build and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians through clear communication and continuity of care.• Pursue professional growth opportunities based on your clinical interests and goals.• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.• Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, respect, mentorship, and continuous learning.What You Bring• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for veterinary licensure in the state of Florida.• Board Certification in Medical Oncology through ACVIM or residency training in Medical Oncology.• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client centered approach.• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine.• An interest in practicing outpatient Medical Oncology within a focused specialty environment.• A commitment to maintaining strong relationships with clients, referring veterinarians, and specialty colleagues.Join UsAt Ethos, this isn't just a job.
