About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Dept Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care ED RN experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC & ENPC Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1-year current acute care ED RN experience. BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC & ENPC certifications. Description: The unit has 18 beds and 14 staff members. There are 2 RNs on the day shift and 2 RNs on the night shift. Patient ratios vary depending on acuity, usually 4:1. Typical equipment includes LifePak, Lucus, Philips, and GE. The EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. Typical procedures performed include IV insertion, EKG, foley catheter insertion, splints, wound infiltration, wound care, medication administration, and assessments. The facility has increased resources such as respiratory therapy, house supervisors, and staff available on medical/surgical and ICU floors. Full lab services and radiology including CT, MRI, Echo, X-ray, and ultrasound are all on-site.
