Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – CADD

Location: Hamtramck, MI 48212
Contract: 3–4 Months
Position: Part-Time & Fulltime both available
Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop, administer, and oversee Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related developmental disabilities.

The BCBA will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) and will provide clinical oversight, therapist supervision, caregiver/parent training, treatment planning, and collaboration with healthcare and educational professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee individualized ABA treatment programs for children with autism and related disorders.
• Conduct skill acquisition assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify treatment needs.
• Develop comprehensive, individualized behavior treatment plans.
• Provide direct supervision and clinical guidance to ABA therapists.
• Monitor treatment progress and review data to determine whether modifications are needed.
• Provide direct intervention when necessary and model effective behavioral strategies.
• Conduct weekly consultations with therapists regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Regularly communicate with caregivers and families regarding treatment progress.
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other providers.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate patient services.
• Consult with Licensed Psychologists/Neuropsychologists regarding behavioral plans and family concerns.
• Develop and conduct training seminars for therapists and student interns.
• Present CADD programs through in-services, workshops, and community outreach activities.
• Assist with billing-related issues and disputes when needed.
• Support program development and community outreach initiatives.
• Be available by phone/email as needed by clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• At least 1 year of direct ABA experience providing services to children with autism.
• Experience supervising ABA therapists.
• Experience working with families, educational staff, and clinical professionals preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral treatment planning.
• Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments and skill acquisition assessments.
• Strong clinical documentation and data-analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and self-directed.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours when needed.
• Demonstrates teamwork, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Respectful and sensitive when working with diverse patients and families.
• Strong customer-service and professional communication skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily a normal clinical/office environment.
• Must be able to complete required crisis management training .
• Must be capable of using appropriate physical intervention techniques during patient crisis situations, as required.
• May occasionally be required to respond outside regular clinic hours by phone/email.
