Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. License: Must have a valid RN license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: - 1 year of Med Surgical experience. - Every other weekend availability. - Ability to float to other units as needed. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for all aspects of patient care in a medical surgical setting. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:6. First-time travelers are accepted. All candidates are expected to have a thorough understanding of dysrhythmias and telemetry management. Tracheostomy care and management experience is also essential. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The daily census includes adults and geriatric patients. Nurses will need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with a range of healthcare professionals. Strong communication skills are necessary to ensure effective patient care. The position requires a commitment to patient safety and quality care. All candidates should be prepared to comply with additional requirements presented during the interview process.
