Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to telemetry patients, focusing on monitoring and responding to cardiac and other critical vital signs. Ensure patient safety and comfort through continuous assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and interpret telemetry data to identify emergent issues.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families about their condition and post-discharge care needs.
• Follow all facility policies and adhere to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY RN license and be licensed at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Certifications required: BLS; CMSRN preferred.
• Demonstrate recent Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years.
• Have NIHSS certification or be prepared to complete prior to start date.
• Be able to work every other weekend and adapt to unit schedule needs.
