Architectural Designer

We're looking for a Architectural Designer / CAD Drafter to join a collaborative architectural team supporting a variety of commercial renovation and new construction projects. This role is heavily focused on construction documentation and production, working alongside Project Architects to develop accurate drawing sets while helping deliver projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop architectural construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules using AutoCAD, with occasional Revit as needed.
• Translate design concepts and client standards into coordinated construction documents.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil consultants to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain drawing organization, CAD standards, file management, and sheet setup throughout each project.
• Review drawing sets for quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency before project milestones.
• Incorporate redlines and revisions throughout the design development and construction documentation phases.
• Assist with permitting by updating drawings to meet local building codes and jurisdictional requirements.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Work closely with project teams to communicate design changes and coordinate document updates.
• Contribute to improving production workflows, documentation standards, and overall project efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in architectural production, drafting, or construction documentation.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience producing and organizing construction document sets.
• Understanding of construction detailing, architectural documentation, and consultant coordination.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of Revit or other BIM software.
• Experience with commercial, retail, restaurant, or other multi-site projects.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and coordinating projects across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience implementing quality control procedures and improving production standards.
