Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The position begins ASAP and includes 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Position Details Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Summary The CT Tech operates a computerized tomography scanner to produce cross‑sectional images, prepares patients, ensures protocol adherence, collaborates with radiologists, maintains equipment, and follows safety procedures. Essential Work Functions Operate CT equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately. Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology. Provide high‑quality images to Radiologist for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality. Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice. Required Qualifications One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist. Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Current ARRT Certification. Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position. Required Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills – Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, and assist with procedures and department equipment. Mental Requirements – Must handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration on detail.
