Manager, CFO Advisory - Financial Services

Overview Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm that serves clients across major U.S. regions and key global financial centers. The Financial Advisory Services (FAS) practice helps CFOs, Controllers, and Finance Directors improve financial reporting and add value to business operations. The Manager role will lead growth of the FAS practice, develop client relationships, and drive performance for middle‑market financial institutions. Responsibilities Participate in projects focused on US GAAP Advisory, Business Analytics and Decision Support, Financial Accounting Advisory Services, Transaction Support, Finance transformation and Program/Project Management. Supervise, develop and train staff on engagements and actively contribute to team work on projects. Interact directly with senior managers and partners on client and engagement management matters. Strengthen existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities by providing outstanding client service. Communicate with business owners, executive management, investors, lenders and other sophisticated parties to ensure delivery of exceptional client service. Be accessible and anticipate client needs, questions and issues. Invest in professional development through training sessions and networking events. Assist with recruiting activities, including campus recruiting and employee referral program participation. Mentor senior and staff team members and contribute to firm efforts to attract, retain and develop talent. Lead by example to positively impact employee morale and support an inclusive culture. Set and achieve challenging profitability, billing and collection objectives consistent with engagement circumstances. Maintain relationships across service lines and engagement teams while identifying opportunities for additional firm services. Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in a large accounting firm audit or financial advisory line within the financial services industry. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. Knowledge and ability to use accounting and finance concepts to facilitate analysis; experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau is a plus. Current US GAAP and/or IFRS advisory knowledge and application. Exposure to Middle Market financial applications (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, IntAcct) and their workflows, automated controls and reporting capabilities. High motivation, initiative and positive attitude. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities. Advanced modeling and Excel skills with experience conducting complex quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to generate insights. Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience presenting analyses to management and leading initiatives. Ability to work effectively with all levels of client personnel across various industries. Comfortable interacting with senior‑level client personnel, including supporting executive briefings. Compensation The compensation range for this role is $124,910 to $236,800. Actual compensation is influenced by factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.
