Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; work performed is unclassified

Position Summary: Ensures the effective operation and use of electronic business systems within the acquisition process. The specialist supports data management, reporting, user training, and system troubleshooting across core Department of Defense procurement systems to minimize downtime and maximize the productivity of the contracting workforce.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Four years of direct experience in federal procurement systems support may be substituted for a degree.
• Minimum of three years of experience supporting DoD e-Business or acquisition systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in navigating and troubleshooting core DoD systems: System for Award Management (SAM), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Electronic Data Access (EDA), and the Electronic Procurement System (ePS).
• Proven ability to diagnose software and system issues, coordinate with Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical helpdesks, and communicate solutions clearly to non-technical contracting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with data management, integrity checks, and reporting from critical procurement systems, including SAM, PIEE, and ePS.
• Provide direct support and ad-hoc training to contracting staff and customers on the proper use of e-Business tools, including developing and maintaining user guides and providing desk-side assistance.
• Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting system issues, performing initial diagnosis, resolving common problems, and coordinating with technical support or system administrators for more complex issues.

Core Competencies

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience developing training materials or conducting desk-side training for software applications.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, MS Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
