Labor & Delivery RN – (Carthage, TN)

Position Overview

• Specialty: Labor & Delivery RN
• Location: Carthage, TN
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Travel Requirement: Must live 60+ miles from the facility

Unit Overview

• Departments Covered:
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Nursery
  • Postpartum
• Beds:
  • 2 Labor beds
  • 3 Postpartum beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• EMR: Meditech

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Must be able to work in all three areas:
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Nursery
  • Postpartum
• Experience with fetal monitoring

Required Certifications

• ✅ ACLS
• ✅ AWHONN
• ✅ BLS
• ✅ NRP
• ✅ Active Tennessee RN License (or eligibility as required)

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS
• Centricity experience
• Meditech experience
• Couplet care experience

Schedule & Call

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (rotating/as needed)
• Call Requirement: 3 twelve-hour call shifts per 4-week schedule
• Floating: As needed

Patient Population

• Laboring mothers
• Postpartum mothers
• Newborns

• Comfortable caring for mothers and newborns throughout the continuum of care

Dress Code

• Scrubs: Any color
• Not Allowed: Casual clothing or apparel from other healthcare facilities
