The Role

You will be our first marketing hire. Today our story is told by the founders and in sales conversations. Your job is to take it out of our heads and put it into the market, and then build the channels that bring the right buyers to us.

This is a build from zero role. No team, no agency, no existing playbook, no content library. You will own the narrative, the collateral, and the events and channels that generate pipeline. You will travel, you will run our conference presence on your own, and you will be in the room with customers.

What You Will Do

• Own how Gryps is explained. Positioning, messaging and the story for owners, capital program managers, facilities executives and construction managers who are evaluating a long, high consideration decision.

• Own pipeline generation. Build the mix of events, campaigns, content and channel experiments that produce qualified conversations, and report honestly on what is working and what to kill.

• Run conferences and industry events end to end. Which ones we attend, what we spend, the booth, speaking slots, pre event outreach and post event follow up tied back to the pipeline. This is our highest intent channel and it is yours. Expect to be on the road for it.

• Host our own gatherings in New York for owners and capital program leaders, the small rooms where this industry actually makes decisions.

• Build the content and collateral library from nothing. Case studies, customer stories, industry reports, decks, one pagers and objection guides, so the founders and our AE are never building from scratch mid deal.

• Run LinkedIn and organic as a credibility engine, using customer proof and industry data rather than product announcements.

• Build co-marketing with the platforms our customers already run on, and turn those relationships into joint content, joint events and referred pipeline.

What We Are Looking For

• 4 to 7 years in B2B marketing or growth, at least part of it at an early stage company where you were doing the work yourself.

• You have generated pipeline into enterprise or institutional buyers on long, multi stakeholder cycles, large ACVs not just high volume SMB funnels.

• You have owned conferences and events on your own, from logistics through follow up, and can point to the pipeline that came out of them.

• Based in NYC and comfortable with regular travel.

• You have marketed a technically deep product to a non technical, traditional buyer, and you can hold your own in a conversation with a VP of Design & Construction.

• You write well enough to produce the collateral yourself. We are not hiring an agency manager.

• Happy being the only marketer. You scope, prioritize and ship without a team, and you are not looking to manage people in this role.

• Experienced with utilizing AI systems to support you in delivering your work.

• Bonus: construction tech, proptech, AEC, facilities, or a parallel vertical AI or enterprise systems background.
