About the Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Invasive Cardiology / Cardiac Cath Lab – Day Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome

We are seeking experienced and qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Invasive Cardiology to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients undergoing interventional cardiology and endovascular procedures in Cleveland, Ohio.

The RN will provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care, monitor patients during cardiac procedures, assist with sedation and advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong Cath Lab experience, advanced cardiac monitoring skills, and the ability to respond promptly to emergency cardiac events, including STEMI cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing interventional cardiology and endovascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

• Perform preoperative and postoperative patient assessments and care.

• Monitor patients throughout procedures, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status.

• Assist with patient sedation and monitoring according to clinical protocols.

• Manage and monitor advanced hemodynamic support devices, including IABP and Impella.

• Provide ventilator management and support for critically ill patients.

• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.

• Participate in emergency cardiac interventions and STEMI call assignments.

• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using applicable clinical systems, including Epic, XPER, and Change Healthcare.

• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and procedural standards.

• Participate in required holiday and on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Invasive Cardiology RN experience required.

• Valid Ohio RN license required.

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications required.

• Cath Lab experience, including preoperative and postoperative patient care.

• Experience monitoring and sedating patients.

• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including IABP and Impella.

• Ventilator management experience required.

• Ability to respond within 30 minutes when assigned STEMI call.

• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work variable day shifts, holidays, and on-call assignments.
