The Inn has 217 rooms and suites, from the historic Main Inn to dozens of cottage-style buildings with flower-lined brick walkways and breathtaking views. The Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for but not limited to overseeing the entire development and production of pastries, breads, sweets, ice cream, fillings and toppings, including their design, creation, execution and presentation. In addition, the Executive Pastry Chef supervises and manages the entire pastry staff while ensuring that quality control measures are being adhered to daily and that all recipes are being executed correctly and consistently.

• Creates items that feature fresh, seasonally appropriate ingredients
• Responsible for creating innovative desserts that not only taste delicious but also pair well with items on the existing food and wine menus
• Responsible for managing the labor costs of the pastry department
• Creating and managing weekly schedules
• Hiring, training, and tending to coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed
• Ordering ingredient inventory items
• Stay current with techniques
• Ordering supplies and adhering to sanitation regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years' experience in a pastry kitchen
• Two years or more in a supervisory position
• Degree from a culinary school preferred
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
• Good organizational skills
• Able to work well under pressure and meet production schedules and timeliness of food displays
• Excellent English communication skills both written and oral
• Luxury hotel experience and or fine dining preferred

Compensation: $108,000.00 - $115,000.00

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
