1st Timer/LOCALS OK - OR TECH - James Outpatient Care Operating Room - Days (8-hour or 10-hour day shifts) Unit Name: The James Cancer Hospital Surgical Services Cost Center: 96412 Business Unit: James Outpatient Care OR Location: 3rd Floor Address: 2121 Kenny Road, Columbus, OH 43210 Position Requirements Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience Ability to work within a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment Oncology experience preferred Types of Cases: Robotics: Urology, Gynecology (hysterectomy, partial/radical nephrectomy) Urology/GYN: Hysterectomies, partial/radical nephrectomies, cystoscopies ENT: EGDs Orthopedics: Soft tissue cases Surgical Oncology/Plastics: Breast lumpectomies, excision of soft tissue masses, mastectomies, tissue expanders, implants, and TRAM/microsurgical flap procedures Department Details Number of OR Suites: 8 Shift Options: 8-hour or 10-hour day shifts Call: Required as needed Hours: 40 hours per week Agency staff have the following parking permit options (purchased through CampusParc at osu.campusparc.com): The WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits. The WMC permit is available monthly. WMC Monthly Permit: 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage - $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days. WB Annual Permit: 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays; West Campus WB/WC lots 24/7 with shuttle service - $196.20/year. CXS Annual Permit: 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays; Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7 - $393.96/year. WB Parking Details: Parking is available in West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3, approximately 1.7 miles from OSU Wexner Medical Center. The Pink Shuttle runs every 3-5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in approximately 8-9 minutes. Weekend garage access is available from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m. Outside those hours, regular hourly garage rates apply. Refund Information: Prorated refunds may be available for unused future months on annual permits. Current and prior months are not refundable. Cancel by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month to avoid the next charge. Refund checks may take 3-5 weeks. Quick Summary WMC: Closest option with guaranteed garage access; highest cost.
