Salary/Payrate: $50,000–$75,000 annually plus AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment: Hybrid (2 Days WFH)

JOB DESCRIPTION

AMS Staffing is seeking an experienced Litigation / Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to join a respected mid-sized law firm in downtown Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with strong litigation support experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of law firm experience supporting litigation attorneys. Prior experience in insurance defense, workers' compensation, and/or tort litigation is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in the General Litigation and Workers' Compensation practice groups.
• Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal correspondence and litigation documents.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and other case-related events.
• Maintain electronic and physical client files.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and vendors.
• Assist with case management and document organization.
• Handle additional administrative and litigation support responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of legal assistant experience within a law firm.
• Prior experience supporting workers' compensation, insurance defense, tort litigation, or general litigation practices is preferred.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
