Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - $32-44 per hour

Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor - Med Surg Baptist Health System – San Antonio, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Supervisor for a nursing job in San Antonio, Texas. This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision on a shift basis, including coordination and assignment of patient care. Act as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers. Coordinate unit staffing for the next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer. Serve as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for staff. Provide supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews. Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited nursing school. Minimum education: Nursing diploma (preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or an advanced degree in a related field). Minimum experience: 1 year in an equivalent unit; preferred 4 years. Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse. National Specialty Certification (preferred). Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must obtain AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. Required additional certifications: ACLS/TNCC, PALS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention, depending on department hired; ENPC preferred in Emergency Department.
