Medical Assistant PositionPerforms a wide variety of activities that may include both direct patient care, as well as administrative and laboratory functions. Direct patient care may include working with patients of all ages, in-person and over the phone, completing tasks involving the use of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills. All patient care is provided under the direct supervision of the physician and/or mid-level provider. Medical assistants may also engage in reception activities, greeting and assisting patients and visitors, and help complete the business side of a patient visit.Position Specifics:Department: Wound Clinic. Answer phones, register patients, help with intake and turnover, etc.Schedule: Part Time Days 25 Hours Per Week. No holidays, weekends, or callLocation: Litchfield, ILCompensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for nights and weekends on top of base rate! BENEFIT ELIGIBLEEducation QualificationsCompletion from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience may be considered in lieu of completion of program per department discretion.Experience QualificationsOne year of clinical experience - PreferredCertifications, Licenses and RegistrationsMedical Assistant (MA) Certification/Registration required or must be obtained within 90 days of start date from one of the following credentialing organizations: 1. Certified MA from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) 2. Registered MA from American Medical Technologists (AMT) 3. National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) 4. Certified Clinical MA (CCMA) from National Healthcare Association (NHA) 5. Registered MA from American Allied Health (AAH) 6. Nationally Registered CMA (NRCMA) from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) 7. Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) or Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) from American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) 8. Podiatric MA Certified (PMAC) from American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) 9.
