Jon & Vinny’s is a fast-paced, high-volume, all-day restaurant serving several Los Angeles communities 7 days a week. Known for our welcoming vibe, delicious food, and exceptional wine and cocktail offerings, we’ve become a neighborhood favorite where guests come to celebrate everything from casual dinners to special occasions. • Providing a friendly and hospitable first impression to all guests. Warmly greet every guest that walks in the door and say goodbye to everyone that leaves. Acknowledging and learning names of regulars, our neighbors and friends of the restaurant.

• Answering the telephone courteously and promptly, and knowing how to guide guests to find the answer/person they need.
• Taking togo orders over the phone or through a tablet, enter them in accurately into the POS, manage couriers and guests upon pickup, take accurate payment, double-check all orders before they leave with the guest, and take the initiative to ensure all guests leave Jon & Vinny’s happy with their order.
• Able to thoughtfully describe all menu items and be aware of available modifications and possible allergens in each dish, and using this knowledge to provide suggestions to guests. All Hosts will be tested during training for food knowledge and must pass with a 90% minimum. 
• Have a working knowledge of wine in general and be able to concisely and accurately describe all wines by the glass.
• Ringing in all takeout orders accurately, making sure all checks presented are accurate and graciously collecting payment. All guests must be verbally informed about the 18% service charge.
• Respecting everyone in the building - maintaining cleanliness, acknowledging all employees, using respectful language, dressing appropriately and working with everyone else in the building to be helpful. Maintaining a positive attitude is important every day.
• Showing up ready to work. Attire should be clean and wrinkle-free.
• Respecting the facility - picking up trash, cleaning up after yourself, taking the initiative to clean, finishing your side work, letting managers know if anything is in disrepair.
• Running food or drinks, assisting in pre-bussing tables, sweeping floors, helping teammates in the FOH or BOH, being present and aware in order to assist with any spills or special requests.

• Knowing your schedule and showing up to work on-time. Awareness and self-management with break times and clock out times is crucial to the success of each shift.
