Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Demonstrated experience with school-based psychological assessments and IEP processes
- Proven ability to work effectively with students with significant communication needs, particularly non-verbal learners
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
- Comfort adapting communication and strategies for individualized student needs
- Commitment to upholding best practices and current state/federal special education guidelines
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct a select number of assessments and contribute professional insights during IEP team meetings
- Develop intervention recommendations to address unique student challenges
- Support high-needs, non-verbal students through innovative, evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive support plans
- Provide consultative resources to staff and parents, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere
