25/hr Loan Funding Assistant

Funding Assistant (Entry-Level) Overview The Funding Assistant supports the closing and funding process for mortgage loan transactions. This role assists the funding team with administrative and operational tasks to ensure loans are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day funding and closing operations Review and organize loan documents and funding packages Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in internal systems Copy, scan, and process documents related to loan files Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support timely loan closings Track and follow up on outstanding documents or requirements Support document delivery and package handling as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of experience in a mortgage, financial services, or administrative role preferred Basic knowledge of mortgage processes, documents, or regulations is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic office tools Experience with document processing, scanning, and data entry Strong sense of urgency and accountability Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanor Additional Information Entry-level role with training provided Opportunity to gain experience in mortgage funding and closing operations Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
