Residential Design LeaderFull-Time | Leadership Role | Residential DesignWhy You’ll Love This RolePeople First culture with a collaborative team environmentLead and grow a high-impact residential design teamBe the key connection between homeowners, builders, and salesOpportunity to shape processes and improve the customer experienceStable, growing company with long-term career growthHands-on leadership role with real impact on projects and customersWhat You’ll DoAs the Residential Home Design Leader, you’ll oversee the full design process while leading a team and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.Team Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of the design teamRecruit, hire, and coach new design team membersConduct performance reviews and counsel designers to support professional growth and accountabilityCustomer Experience & Sales PartnershipServe as the first point of contact for all residential home design inquiriesConduct consultations to qualify clients and establish budgetsLead client meetings (virtual or in-person) to gather design goals and fill in any planning gapsPromote internal material sales (lumber, windows, trusses, etc.) and track full-package eligibility for design fee refundsProject ManagementMaintain and manage the active design project log and assign projects to team designersEvaluate customer satisfaction and adjust team workflows as neededTechnical & Process OversightMaintain accountability for the accuracy and completeness of customer intake forms and credit application processes.Ensure final plans, print deliverables, and digital files meet established quality, technical, and customer requirements.Provide oversight of workflow execution and coordinate resolution of process or delivery issues to ensure timely completion.Operational & Financial OversightTrack designer hours for billing and send invoices for site visits and extra revisionsKeywordsResidential Design Manager, Home Design Leader, CAD, CAD, SoftPlan, chief architect, Revit, Residential Home Drawings, Residential Construction, Design Team Lead, Building Design, Project Management, Construction DesignRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in residential home designProficiency in CAD, SoftPlan, Chief Architect, or RevitStrong understanding of residential construction methods and building codes (Wisconsin UDC)Proven leadership and team management experienceStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent communication and customer relationship skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentProven experience with a comprehensive portfolio of residential home designs from concept through final construction #J-18808-Ljbffr Bliffert Lumber
