About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: All Shifts Available Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Not required Certifications: BLS Certification, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery is required. Strong experience is preferred, and travel experience is beneficial. Description: Clinicians will be responsible for assisting in various cardiac surgery cases, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, and transplant procedures. Thoracic surgery cases may include robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resections and hiatal hernia repairs. Vascular surgery tasks include diagnostic angiography, surgical endarterectomy, and vascular repair interventions. Call is required, with one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month. Response time for call is 30 minutes. Clinicians may need to float within other services as required. Scrub colors are designated as ceil blue surgical scrubs, provided by the facility. Mandatory call is a requirement for this position. Strong experience is essential, as no new travelers or clinicians will be accepted.
