Overview
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery, Bakersfield, California, United States. Travel - Temporary Assignment beginning 06/29/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,427 to $2,597 per week. 36 hours per week on a Nights shift (12-hour blocks, 3x12). Work in a hospital setting handling obstetric care and delivery workflows while on assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status; assist with labor, delivery, postpartum care, and relevant obstetric procedures.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and maintain sterile technique; document care in the medical record.
- Provide patient and family education on labor progress, newborn care, and discharge planning; collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams as needed.

Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital setting
- Travel assignment readiness and adaptability to a 13-week rotation
- Prior Labor and Delivery or perinatal care experience preferred
