About the Position

Job Title: LDRP Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery or LDRP License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRPS Must-Have: - NICU or LDRP experience - Charge nurse experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum care. The nurse will provide care to laboring mothers and newborns in a Level II NICU setting. The expected patient ratios are 1:1-2 for labor and 1:3-4 for postpartum couplets. The position may require floating between units and being on-call when necessary. Weekends will be required every other weekend. The nursing team collaborates with various interdisciplinary support services. Candidates must have experience with charting in Epic. Key skills include the ability to administer medications and provide neonatal resuscitation. This role involves supporting breastfeeding, managing high-risk births, and ensuring the care of mothers and infants. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory, along with ongoing education in AWHONN. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position. The role involves a commitment to the health and well-being of both mothers and newborns.
