Details Labor and Delivery unit with a facility birth volume of 100-200 per month Patient population includes antepartum, high risk antepartum, mother/baby, and LDRP care Patient ratio of 1:3 Every third weekend required Candidates may float to all competent units within the facility Cerner EMR experience required with no exceptions Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required at time of submission Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred) CPI certification will be required starting January 2026 Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Teaching and community hospital experience preferred Skilled in administration of blood/blood products, CVC/PICC line maintenance, and peripheral IV starts Experience administering anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, heparin, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, and oxytocin Skilled in newborn assessment, cord care, discharge teaching, and neonatal abstinence syndrome care Experience with pain management including opioids and pain assessment Skilled in couplet care, incision care, isolation precautions, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration At least one professional reference required for consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages Support high-risk deliveries, C-section circulation/recovery, and vaginal delivery assistance Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring, including IUPC placement and calibration Provide newborn care including car seat education, circumcision care teaching, and thermoregulation Preferred skills include phototherapy, breastfeeding/lactation support, and use of PCA IV pain management Unit scrub color is navy blue Locals accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction First-time travelers will be considered based on experience review Previous staff must have a break in service of at least one year before returning Completion of required CEUs and HealthStream modules must be prioritized to maintain compliance timelines These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
